Education: Liz attended Reed College for two years and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Portland State University. She attended automotive classes at Portland Community College.

Certification: ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician with   L-1 Advanced Engine Performance. ASE Certified Service Consultant. Accredited Automotive Manager.

Worked at Hawthorne Auto since: When it was Gusey’s Auto Clinic back in 1980.

In the automotive industry since: 1977

Hobbies: Gardening with native plants and growing vegetables organically, hiking, playing with Bella, watching obscure foreign and independent films.

Favorite car: They’re all alike to me…

Most challenging part of the job: Finding young people interested in the Automotive Service Industry, and countering negative stereotypes of automotive repair technicians.
